The husband of Si Si Han, the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge toll worker authorities say was killed on the job by a drunk driver, spoke publicly about her death for the first time.

Ryan Saw told ABC7 he has known his wife since they met in their native Burma when she was 15.

He described it as love at first sight.

“She’s very wonderful woman, we met when I was 15. I was very lucky that I could marry her,” he said.

Saw had dropped off his wife, 46, early to work so that she could fill the shift of someone who called in sick.

Within minutes, she was struck and killed in a chain reaction accident police said was set off by a drunk driver driving a rented box truck.

Si Si moved to the United States in 2002 and married Ryan in 2007. Their only daughter Ashly is 10-years-old.

“I like to do whatever she wants me to do,” he said about his wife. And then she is very happy with that too, so when she is happy I am happy too. I’m going to miss her a lot.”

Daniel Berk faces vehicular manslaughter and DUI charges.

“Safety is always the No. 1 concern on our highways,” said Han’s former coworker James Province to KRON at a memorial Friday. “Drinking and driving is never a good solution, and it resulted in a tragedy. We all want to see our families when we get to our house and when we come home from work.”

A Go Fund Me page for Han’s family has so far raised $25,000.
