No Holiday Joy in San Francisco Bay Area after Racist and Homophobic Incidents

Parking argument in SF

How is this kind of crap still happening?

Not one, but two racist incidents have surfaced via social media.

Both happened in the San Francisco Bay Area where you’d think people would have a greater understanding of inclusion and diversity.

The first incident reported by YOMYOMF occurred at a Starbucks in the San Francisco suburb of Walnut Creek which isn’t exactly the back country.

Sean H Lee posted on Facebook he was tutoring a Korean international student when a woman began berating his student for speaking Korean.

Get over it, lady. People speak different languages, whether you’re in the United States, Europe or Asia.

The second incident happened in the heart of San Francisco, Union Square. According to Next Shark, it erupted over an argument over a parking space.

That’s not unusual, but what was is that the argument deteriorated into anti-Filipino slurs.

The slurs came from another Asian American who demanded the other person “get out his country.” The person also used homophobic slurs. Be forewarned, the video includes a lot of offensive language.

Sorry dude, but people like you give Asian American men a bad rap. Maybe its you who should get out of this country.
