Inspired by the #MeToo movement, 300 Hollywood notables have announced #TimesUp to fight sexual harassment in the workplace, reports ABC News.
A legal fund that has already generated nearly $14 million in donations was founded by attorneys Nina Shaw and Tina Tchen, former Chief of Staff for Michelle Obama.
The goal of the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund is to ensure that women who work as janitors, farm workers, home health care workers and others who may not be able to afford a legal defense can combat sexual harassment.
“The real object of the fund is to make sure that women who are the voiceless and really don’t have representation and are afraid to come forward know now they have access to legal resources,” said Tchen. “So anyone who needs us, we have partnered with the National Women’s Law Center, a 45-year old women ‘s rights organization. “They’ll be the home for the Times up Legal Defense Fund .

Big donors, according to The Telegraph, include Meryl Streep, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Anniston. Steven Spielberg donated $2 million through his Wunderkinder Foundation.
“It’s not just about sexual harassment,” said Tchen. “It’s about changing the way our work places work to make them fairer for everyone. And we need men and women and everyone involved.”
