Seeing is believing.
A customer at Hung Kee Food Market caught an employee stepping on fish while apparently trying to repair a fuse box, reports WPIX.
A stunned Apri Davidson pulled out her cell phone and recorded the whole incident.
She can be heard saying “Seriously, seriously, you’re gonna stand there on the food with your boots.”
Davidson appeared skeptical when the employee told her the fish would be washed before being sold.
An employee at the market later told WPIX the fish would be thrown out. The station submitted the video to the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. The agency sent an inspector to the market who found some “critical deficiencies” and gave Hung Kee an overall grade of C.
The market which blamed the incident on a contractor has since instructed its employees on proper access to the electrical panel without causing health concerns.
