An HR manager has been fired after sending a letter to an applicant warning him “Let me tell you now, if you speak no English, I will send you home.”

The letter to Minh Huynh went viral after the applicant’s daughter tweeted a photo of that letter.

The incident was first reported by Next Shark, which received a response from Dash Delivery LLC, announcing the employee’s dismissal.

A response was also sent directly to the family.

A spokesperson told Next Shark, “I have already contacted Mr. Huynh to express my sincere apologies…I hope your readers truly can accept our sincere apologies for such an insensitive remark.”

Huynh’s daughter, Emily, says the family is moving on and has accepted the company’s apology. She also explained that her father is Vietnamese, but speaks Cantonese to her mom.

The family has already received offers to help them sue, but said it is satisfied with the response from the company and is ready to move on with their lives.
