One of the Philadelphia Eagle cheerleaders who will be on the sidelines during the Super Bowl today is a former Miss San Francisco Chinatown   from 2012.

The cheerleader who goes only by her first name of Snow is a physician assistant who graduated with a Bachelor of Science from University of California at San Diego and went on to get her MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Snow spent seven years as a competitive ice skater and, as her name implies, should be quite comfortable in Minneapolis today where temperatures are expected to dip to minus-6 degrees with wind chills hitting minus-25 degrees.

“In 2012, I left California and moved to Philadelphia,” she said in an interview with the Philadelphia Eagle’s publicist. “One of the first things I noticed about Philly was how passionate the fans are for their sports. Someone showed me an article about how the Eagles Cheerleaders uniforms were designed by Vera Wang, which I thought was very cool, and I loved the sleek, athletic, modern look of the squad.”

Snow uses her platform as a cheerleader to promote environmental issues. Along with other cheerleaders from the squad, she traveled to Villages of Cajuil and Macao La Ceiba in the Dominican Republic to deliver portable filtration systems to increase access to clean water. She speaks three languages including Spanish and was able to demonstrate how to use the filtration system.

She is featured on the cover of the Eagles 2018 calendar wearing a Sponge Suit developed with technology to help clean polluted water.

“I’m very passionate about the Eagles Go Green efforts that I am involved in as a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader,” said Snow. It “gives me a further opportunity to discuss the importance of sustainability. It will bring more awareness to the need for inventive solutions to environmental issues.”

Snow has lived in three countries and has traveled to such destinations as Cuba to participate in a People to People educational exchange trip.
