If you stuck around after the Super Bowl to watch the trophy presentation, you may have noticed an Asian woman on the big stage.
She is Tina Lai, wife to Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie.
According to Philadelphia Magazine, the two were married in 2013.
They met while Tina was behind the register in West Philadelphia at Fu Wah Deli which her brother owns.
Forbes Magazine lists Lurie as the 1161st richest person in the world. The magazine says his fortune is worth $1.8 billion.
Lai is 44. Lurie is 66.
She came to the United States as a refugee from Vietnam in 1978 with her family and is the youngest of eight siblings, reports Heavy.
Lai managed the Vietnam Cafe, which her brother Benny also owned.
The Lai family built a life in Philadelphia starting with almost nothing. Lai’s brother Benny is credited with taking his parents “hole in the wall” businesses into ones known more for their great food.
The couple has no children, although Lurie is the father to a son and daughter from his marriage to Christina Weiss Lurie.
They live in a $14 million 13 acre estate in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
