Quantico Canceled on ABC

Quantico
Priyanka Chopra with Alan Powell: Alex and McQuigg are assigned to protect a prince following the assassination of an emir, but the team soon realizes the killer is closer than they think, on ABC’s “Quantico,” airing THURSDAY, MAY 17 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. Quantico, the FBI drama on ABC starring Priyanka Chopra, has been canceled.

Premiering its third season on April 26, 2018, the show revolves  around Chopra’s character, Alex Parrish, and her life as an FBI agent.

While the first season of the show was popular, the second and third seasons saw a decline, with season three premiering with low ratings.

Season three is set to only have 13 episodes, compared to the 22 episodes given to seasons one and two.

When it first premiered in 2015, Quantico made waves by casting Priyanka Chopra as its lead actress.

According to Pink Villa, Chopra landing the leading role on the television was a big deal  since it allowed her to play a role that “had nothing to do with [her] color or [her] ethnicity.”  She discussed how the only representation of South Asians was Apu from The Simpsons and how it can make one “feel really small.”

Quantico will air its remaining 10 episodes Thursdays at 10 on ABC.
