Marvel fans will be introduced to an under the radar Asian American character tonight when Ant-Man and the Wasp debuts in theaters nationwide.
Jimmy Woo first appeared in Yellow Claw #1 in 1956.
He is portrayed by Fresh Off the Boat‘s Randall Park in the latest Marvel movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp. According to Fansided, after Yellow Claw, Woo would later become an Agent of Shield. There was some speculation that Woo would also be introduced on the ABC show.
Screenrant, however, is reporting that’s not likely to happen. The digital publication talked with S.H.I.E.L.D costumer designer Ivo Coveney who told Screenrant he didn’t even have a design for a Jimmy Woo costume.
In the reincarnation of Jimmy Woo on Ant-Man, it appears he will work with the FBI, chasing after the Pyms from Captain America: Civil War.
