A man who describes himself as a hardworking dad with two beautiful girls has been fired after mocking the death of an elderly Sikh.

Sohan Singh Sidhu, 65, died Sunday after falling off the back of a truck while participating in the Abbotsford’s Canada Day parade, reports the Vancouver Sun.

Somehow Dillon Mazzei found joy in that.

He posted on Facebook “F*cking Hindu shouldn’t have been in the box driving on city roads anyways. To (sic) bad more of them didn’t fallout (sic), f*ck*n sh*t skins.”

According to the Abbotsford News, the post was widely shared and condemned.

Mazzei’s Facebook account, which has since been deleted, included information about his workplace, TerraLink Horticulture Inc.

The company swiftly moved to fire Mazzei.

“TerraLink is strongly opposed to the racist and hateful comments expressed yesterday on Facebook. The individual does not represent our company and did this on his own initiative without our knowledge. We completely disavow his views and his employment with TerraLink was immediately terminated today.”
