“I’m very grateful. You never feel like a role model, you never feel that, but I mean, for sure, hopefully you see more Asian people on screen, it gives hope to all the other Asian kids,” Lee said in an ABC7 interview.

The fun, romantic crime-solving series airs an all-new episode TONIGHT, Aug. 9 at 10pm EDT, on the ABC Television Network.

This week’s episode entitled All About Ava begins with Sam taking an unexpected journey into her past when she and Eddie (played by Eddie Cibrian) are called on to investigate the seemingly accidental death of Ava Day, star of the ‘90s sitcom All About Ava, which featured a 12-year-old Sam in her acting debut as Ava’s little sister. But when the investigation uncovers dark truths about past events, Sam is forced to reconcile her childhood impressions with newly found facts in order to crack the case, on Take Two.
