Fresh off this Friday’s wide release of John Cho’s latest film, Searching, the actor is scheduled to begin production on Tigertail for Netflix.
Variety reports the film is from writer, producer and director Alan Yang (Master of None).
It is at least partly based on Yang’s life and will span decades-from 1950’s Taiwan to present day New York.
Tigertail will also star Tzi Ma, Christine Ko and Kunjue Li.
According to Film School Rejects, Tigertail is a multi-generational drama and will focus on the questionable choices of two individuals. This will be Yang’s first attempt at directing a feature-length film.
