Crazy Rich Asians surpassed the $100 million mark in its third weekend. The  Hollywood Reporter says that’s the best domestic showing for a rom-com in at least two years.

The film from director Jon Chu is also earning $22.2 million for the three day weekend, the best for the Labor Day weekend in a decade.

Time reports Crazy Rich Asians could surpass the $30 million mark for the four day weekend, inching ever so close to topping the record $30.6 million haul taken by Halloween in 2007.

According to Forbes, Searching starring John Cho didn’t too bad either. In its first weekend in large release, the film netted $7 million. The film is directed by Indian American Aneesh Chaganty.

Searching was the number two new movie of the weekend, just behind Operation Finale at $7.7 million.
