In its 15th season, the hit ABC medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy, will star a gay, Asian character.
According to the Huffington Post, actor Alex Landi will play Dr. Nico Kim, a gay, male surgeon.
Prior to this casting, Landi appeared as a juror on “Bull” in 2017 and is of mixed descent. He is half Korean and half Italian, according to his website bio.
Landi’s character won’t be the first time that Grey’s Anatomy is featuring LGBTQ identities. Callie Torres, a bisexual doctor was played by Sara Ramirez recently, and Jessica Capshaw played Arizona Robbins, a lesbian doctor.
Landi’s credits include an appearance as a juror on “Bull” in 2017, according to IMDB. The New York City-born actor is of Korean and Italian heritage, according to her he website bio.
