Yoko Ono has released a new version of her husband’s iconic hit, Imagine.
The song is being released in advance of her next album Warzone on October 19.
It also coincided with Lennon’s 78th birthday Tuesday, according to Rolling Stonee.
Ono co-wrote the song in 1971, but didn’t receive credit for it until last year when the National Music Publishers Association officially added her name to the credits.
“That should be credited as a Lennon-Ono song because a lot of it – the lyric and the concept – came from Yoko,” Lennon was quoted as saying by the BBC in 1980, reported The Guardian. “But those days I was a bit more selfish, a bit more macho, and I sort of omitted to mention her contribution.”
