A young Black man and his Samoan American friend in Kansas City endured a slew of racial slurs as they walked by a White woman outside a bar.
21-year-old Drake Lewis shared video of the incident on social media.
“So yesterday me and my homie Sam were out taking photos in the power and light district via KCMO when we overheard this lady say “these fucking n*ggers” when we walked by. I told her not to say that and then I started recording.

“It was really random,” Lewis told The Kansas City Star. “Me and my friend were just out taking photos and we were walking down the street talking about different stuff and we overheard the lady.”
Lewis said his friend, Saomana Tualatamalelagi, has been called a “sand (N-word)” in the past. “He gets it all the time,” Lewis said.
“Shut your hick ass up, you ugly b***h,” Tualatamalelagi said at one point during the incident.
“I posted it to expose how people really are, and to show that racism is pretty much everywhere,” said Lewis to Newsweek. “I’m just really tired of the disrespect.”
The woman, who has not been identified, has been fired by her employer, according to the Star, after the video was seen by her boss. The woman can be heard describing herself as drunk during the confrontation.
