A travel vlogging couple from India had their last journey in Yosemite, California.
Authorities found Meenakshi Moorthy, 30, and her husband, Vishnu Viswanath, 29, had fallen nearly 800-feet in their attempt at taking a selfie near Taft Point. CBS reports that despite being a popular view point for tourists, Taft Point does not have a railing to protect people from its ledge. As a result, a park spokesman said more than ten people have died this year from falling or natural causes.
The East Bay Times stated that the couple was infamous for taking daring photos in considerably dangerous places. In their Instagram, the couple once posted a photo near the edge of the Grand Canyon and the caption mentioned, “A lot of us including yours truly is a fan of daredevilry attempts of standing at the edge of cliffs and sky scrapers, but did you know that wind gusts can be FATAL??? Is your life just worth one photo?”
