Video shows a man trapping two cats in a sealed bucket in New York City and apparently abandoning them outside an animal shelter, reports ABC7.
It’s at least the second time an incident like this has happened at the same shelter.
It happened Thursday when a man placed a sealed bucked with a cat inside near the garbage can in front of Animal Haven.
The suspect is described as an Asian male last seen wearing sweater, jeans and dark-colored shoes.
Authorities are calling this a case of animal abuse. The cats survived without serious injury, but were described as hungry.
A worker found another bucket about a month ago with a cat inside. A cat’s eyes could be seen peeking out of a hole.
“Staff isn’t left speechless that often anymore, but when morning kennel went to move what appeared to be just an empty bucket on the side of our building near the back door, they were shocked to see a tiny eye looking back up at them,” Animal Haven said in a statement after the first incident in November, according to NBC NY.
