A Go Fund Me Page for the mother of three killed when she tried to stop a customer from skipping out on a $35 bill has raised more than $30,000.
“Our mom was really loved by the community here. It’s very traumatizing,” Anne Trinh said on the verge of tears to ABC News.
Police have identified the suspect as Krystal Whipple, 21. She has had run ins with the law before. Authorities say she was driving a stolen rental car and was using a fraudulent credit card.
Nhu “Annie” Ngoc Quynh Nguyen worked 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week to send her three daughters to college, according to the Go Fund Me page set up by family to help pay for her funeral.
Her death has left her family grappling for words.
“It’s probably going to affect us every day for most of our lives,” said Trinh to KTNV.
“If God felt that it’s time for my mom to go then, it’s time for her to go. It’s all in God’s hands.”
