Amy Tan will join about 100 other top authors in Minneapolis this May for the city’s inaugural Wordplay Book Festival, reports MPR News.
The festival hopes to be “the biggest celebration of readers, writers, and great books that Minnesota has ever seen.” Celebrated authors like Tan will give readings, sign books, lead workshops and make appearances, according to the Star Tribune. CityPages mentions that Tan is one of the conference’s highlights.
Tan, born in the U.S. to Chinese immigrant parents, has explored the Chinese American experience in her work, which includes The Joy Luck Club.
