Five seasons after Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D premiered, Chloe Bennet who plays Daisy is still pinching herself.

‘Oh God. Oh, I’m playing a superhero. And it’s one of the first Asian superheroes. Oh God, that’s a responsibility that I’m kind of taking that on the same way that she (Daisy) had to take on her powers,'” she told TV Guide.

It’s a responsibility Bennet didn’t think she would ever get growing up in the South side of Chicago and being half Chinese.

“I wish that I had a show like this when I was younger,” Bennet continued. “To think of myself living on the south side of Chicago, being half-Chinese surrounded by all my brothers and playing pretend in the alley… To think of the fact that now I can become a superhero…”

Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling is hoping her story growing up a first generation Indian American girl will make good entertainment.

Her new show heading to Netflix is inspired by her own childhood, reports E Online. Kaling will serve as executive producer along with Lang Fisher who wrote The Mindy Project and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She will also join forces with Howard Klein who worked on both The Office and The Mindy Project.

Ann Curry, who has reportedly discussed with CBS an anchor slot with CBS This Morning, will debut a new show July 25 which will air simultaneously on TNT and TBS.

Chasing the Cure will be a two hour live broadcast examining patients dealing with undiagnosed or misdiagnosed medical mysteries. Doctors watching live will be able to offer their opinions in hopes of finding a cure for the mysterious conditions.

“How could I not want to be part of this project, given the real chance that it will help people suffer less? This collaboration of physicians, journalists and television creators is not only groundbreaking, it could potentially help encourage new ways for people to access care,” said Curry to Broadway World .

Julie Chen

Julie Chen may have left The Talk, but her presence is still being felt. Not only did she successfully lobby for her replacement, Cartie Ann Inaba, she’s been nominated for a daytime Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host with her former partners- Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood as well as Inaba.
