We know a bit more now about Kevin Kwan’s new TV pilot, The Emperor of Malibu.
The show will feature a mixed race couple with Max Willems playing Auggie, the son of Chinese billionaire who is played by Ken Jeong, reports Next Shark.
Taylor Louderman from Mean Girls will be in the role of Kate, Augie’s college girlfriend, according to Deadline.
The Emperor of Malibu is from Kevin Kwan of Crazy Rich Asians fame. Augie announced his engagement to Kate, setting up a cultural conflict with Augie’s family.
The pilot is being produced by Warner Bros TV for CBS.
