Several Asian Americans win Peabody Awards

All four Asian Americans nominated for a Peabody Award in the documentary and entertainment categories have won.

Sandra Oh and the cast of Killing Eve on BBC America and AMC won in the entertainment category. The show centers around the relationship between an MI5 officer, Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) and assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer).

Netflix Patriot Act, starring Hasan Minhaj, also won in the entertainment category for its comedic and insightful commentary on some of the country’s hotbed issues.

Honored in the documentary category are producers Diane Quon and Bing Liu for Minding the Gap. The film which also was nominated for an Academy Award follows the lives of three skateboarders as they grow up.
