Elderly Las Vegas Nail Salon Owners Attacked by Customers over $20

Surveillance video shows a customer attacking a nail salon owner

Police in Las Vegas are still looking for two suspects accused a beating an elderly couple over a $20 nail salon bill, reports Fox 5.

The owners of gLee Nail Lounge say the customers tried to pay with counterfeit money.

According to Nextshark 68-year-old Leesa Fujita and 76-year-old George Fujita confronted the suspects by threatening to call the police. The two then attacked Leesa when she tried to stop them from getting away.

“I discovered the $20 bill was a fake. So we took it back to the customer where they were sitting. They denied everything,” George told Fox 5.

George suffered a cut on his arm and Leesa’s brain injury required her to be treated in the ICU. They are now back home.

Authorities are now treating the case as a felony robbery.

The Fujitas’ daughter Dion Awang was present when the incident occurred and felt fear as one of the attackers almost punched her.

“[I’m] disgusted [to see] how it happened. Like why did they do that to my parents?” Awang said to KNTV.
