Harry Shum Jr. has been slated to play Solomon Chau alongside Happy Death Day actress Jessica Rothe, who will play his girlfriend Jenn Carter in the romantic drama All My Life.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Universal’s All My Life is based on a true story. After discovering that Chau had liver cancer, the couple had to move up their wedding date to April 11, 2015, and raised money on GoFundMe. However, Chau died four months after the wedding.

Harry Shum Jr.’s previous acting roles include playing Mike Chang in Glee, Charlie Wu in Crazy Rich Asians, and Magnus Bane on Shadowhunters. This role will be one of Shum Jr.’s largest roles to date.

PopSugar reports that Marc Meyers will be directing the film and Todd Rosenberg will screenwrite.
