Darren Criss will be starring in the Broadway revival of American Buffalo alongside actors Sam Rockwell and Laurence Fishburne, reports Variety.
The 1975 play by David Mamet is focused on a trio of small-time hustlers who “want a bigger cut of the American dream,” according to Broadway World.
Criss, whose mother is from the Philippines, made his Broadway debut back in 2012, temporarily replacing Daniel Radcliffe for three weeks as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
He also played the titular role in rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch in 2015 and 2016.

Fans are definitely happy to hear the news as well.
Criss received an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild award for playing serial killer Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (2018). He is also known for his role as Blaine Anderson in the musical drama series Glee, which concluded in 2015.
When accepting his Golden Globe award back in January, Criss was sure to thank his mom.
“This has been a marvelous year for representation in Hollywood, and I am so enormously proud to be a teeny tiny part of that as the son of a firecracker Filipino woman from Cebu that dreamed of coming into this country and getting to be invited to cool parties like this. Mom, I know you’re watching this,” said Criss, according to ABS-CBN News.
Criss will star in American war film Midway, which is scheduled for release on November 8, 2019.
The revival of American Buffalo is scheduled to open Spring 2020.
