The Hollywood Reporter broke the news this morning that Ali Wong has signed on to do two more comedy specials with Netflix, following a bidding war.
According to the publication, the streaming service beat out HBO which aggressively pursued the rising comic.
Wong broke out in 2016 with her Netflix special Baby Cobra and her follow up, Hard Knock Wife. She also starred with Randall Park in the romantic comedy, Always Be My Maybe.
Sources told the Hollywood Reporter HBO offered Wong both a stand up special and scripted show. Warner Media tried to lure the San Francisco native with more than a $10 million for a stand up special alone.
No word on how much Netflix offered Wong.
