San Franciscans rally around Asian American woman racially harassed by Trump supporter

A group of bystanders defended an Asian American woman in San Francisco Sunday from being harassed by a self-identifying Trump supporter.

“Why can’t you go back to where you came from,” the woman can be heard saying in the video posted by Amanda Law on Facebook.

Law wrote she was taking a stroll on Ocean Beach with the two dogs when the woman approached her from behind.

“Why can’t you go back to where you came from. Go back,” the woman yelled.

An unidentified man stood between Law and the woman trying to calm her.

“We want you to keep going,” he said. “You can’t harass her.”

But the woman remained undeterred.

“Americans said we don’t want you here. That’s why we elected President Trump,” she said.

Law cautioned her defender not to get into a confrontation.

“Don’t touch her. Don’t touch her,” she said saying she could just walk away.

Law shared her story with Dion Lim of ABC7 News. She was thankful to the good samaritans who came to her defense.

“You guys literally saved me. Literally saved me. If anybody sees something like this happening, just step in.”
