The reboot of the TV series Kung Fu is set to return to television on the CW in Spring 2021, reports ComicBook.com.

The series will be built around Nicky Shen, as played by Olivia Liang. She returns to San Francisco from China where she had made a life-changing journey to a monastery. She quickly learns that the city she left is not the same city she is returning to. San Francisco is now in the grips of a powerful triad. Together with her boyfriend (Eddie Liu), her ex-lover (Gavin Stenhouse), her tech-savvy sister (Shannon Dang), and pre-med brother (Jon Prasida), they fight to bring the criminals to justice.

In her crosshair is the assassin who killed her Shaolin mentor, according to EW. Kheng Hua Tan, Shannon Dang, Gwendoline Yeo, and Tzi Ma also star.
