A woman was handing out water to police officers, protestors, and other local residents during a New Jersey Black Lives Matter protest when she was accused of being a part of a conspiracy theory.

Filipino American nurse Krystle Ann Batong and a friend decided to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement on the sidelines instead of being in large groups of protestors. She told Balitang America that she wanted to be safe, but still help, as COVID-19 reinfection rates are rising.

According to the video released by Balitang America, Batong was recording when a woman came up to them and accused them of being “paid actors.” The woman was also video recording on her Facebook live to show her confrontation with Batong to her viewers.

In her Facebook live, Osso said, “I’ve already been called a racist because I called them out for being divisive. They’re providing water, which Black Lives Matter usually does, they provide water at these events. It’s not organic… it’s purposeful.” Osso continues to say that handing out water during the protests is “infiltrated” and the “cause of division” in her town.

Speaking on the incident, Batong said, “We were just confused. I was also hurt and I was angry. I couldn’t understand why she was attacking us for just handing out water.”

When Osso went up to Batong and her friend she pointed out their shirts and masks to her Facebook live, showing these are the “commonalities” in people who are a part of the conspiracy.

As Osso approached Batong without a mask, Batong told her to stay six-feet a part. Osso is then seen smiling on Batong’s camera. Before she walked away, Osso called them “zombies.”

Moments later, Osso continued to yell at other protestors on her Facebook live.
