Former presidential candidate Andrew Yang has been added to the Democratic National Convention’s list of speakers after previously voicing his disappointment at not being included, reports CNN.
“I’ve got to be honest I kind of expected to speak,” Yang tweeted after the DNC first revealed its speaker lineup.
Other Democrats responded to Yang’s exclusion from the DNC’s list of speakers. Rep. Ted Lieu stated that the lack of Asian American speakers at the DNC was “tone deaf and a slap in the face.”
The convention is set to run from Monday, August 17 to Thursday, August 20. Yang is confirmed to be speaking Thursday night, according to Business Insider.
