Year of the Ox drops social justice single Captain America

The Korean American duo Year of the Ox, part of Far East Movement’s Transparent Arts, released their single and YouTube video for Captain America this week.

The video takes aim at the current climate of Black murders by police, Karen culture, COVID-19, and the racism directed towards the Asian American community.

Referencing Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Eric Garner, and numerous crimes against Asian Americans, the video is a dark followup to their social commentary on COVID-19, Viral, which garnered 140,000 views–a respectable number for a group still growing their base (albeit with 6.5 million views on YouTube, and attracting the attention of outlets like Vice).

Watch the video below and follow Year of the Ox on Twitter, YouTube, SoundCloud, and Instagram.
