Police investigate racist note to Asian mom of twins

An Asian American woman pushing her twins in a baby stroller ran in fear to her home after a frightening incident with a maskless man in San Francisco.

ABC7 News reports the incident escalated from there. Police says surveillance video shows a man returning on multiple occasions to throw a water bottle and egg at the home and then leaving a racist note.

“I wear my mask if I want, f*cking Asian. You create the virus,” the note read.

It all started when when the mother with her twins saw the same man approaching and requested that he put his mask on.

The woman who only identified herself as Marie to protect her safety says the man quickly moved toward her.

“It was quite alarming, he locked eyes with me and immediately started charging up the hill,” she said.

According to reporter Dion Lim, who has become a go to reporter in San Francisco to report anti-Asian hate crimes, San Francisco police have escalated the case to their special investigations division.

“If you experience the same thing please report it,” Marie told Lim. “It’s really natural to be fearful but if we don’t speak out no one is going to know this is happening and no one can do anything about it.”
