An annual list released by Forbes this week ranks 9-year-old Ryan Kaji the number 1 YouTube earner of 2020.
The toy reviewer earned the top ranking for the third straight year with a paycheck of $29.5 million.
Kaji’s Toy World boasts 41.5 million subscribers and 12.2 billion views this year alone.
Not surprising, the brains behind the operation are mom Loann Guan and dad Shion Guan. Loann is Vietnamese and Shion is Japanese, according to wealthypersons.com.
Primal Information reports the family signed a deal with the children’s media company PocketWatch in 2017. The company handles all the marketing and merchandise.
The channel has expanded to nine different channels including Ryan’s World in Japanese, Ryan’s World Espanol and Ryan’s Family Review.
This video has generated 32 million views alone in less than one year.
