The new trailer for Godzilla vs Kong dropped today.
It features a young Asian child who strikes a close relationship with Kong. The trailer make it seem that the child plays a central role in the film. However, the girl has no speaking role in the two minute plus trailer, and IMDB lists the character 11th in a cast of about 30.
Jia is played by Kaylee Hottie and this appears to be her first credit.
Higher up on the credit list is Shun Ogiri who plays Ren Serizawa, the son of Dr. Ishiro Serizawa who died in the last film. Portrayed by Ken Watanabe, Serizawa gave himself up in Godzilla: King of the Monsters when he detonates a nuclear device to save Godzilla.

The cast includes Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir.
It’s set to premiere simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max March 26.
