Victim of NY Chinatown beating may be gang member

CATEGORIES

A Brooklyn man stripped and brutally beaten by around a dozen suspects in New York Chinatown Friday may be a member of the notorious Mac Ballers Brim gang.

Sources tell the New York Post he has 43 arrests on his record, including 17 felonies. Authorities say the suspects waited for hours for the victim to arrive from Atlanta on a bus and apparently followed him after his return.

Police accuse the suspects of slashing him in the torso, head and hand. Doctors treated him at a local hospital and say the injuries were not serious.

AsAmNews first reported on this incident Sunday and showed surveillance video of the incident.

Police say the attackers stripped him of his cell phone, pants, underwear and even shoes before he escaped and found help.

So far there have been no arrests in this case.
