The father of Nikki Minaj died at the age of 64 this week- a victim of a hit & run driver, reports ABC.
It happened Friday in New York as Robert Maraj crossed the street in Long Island.
Emergency crews rushed him to a local hospital where he died. Police have no description of the suspect, but urged witnesses to come forward.
The Homicide Unit asks anyone with information to call the anonymous tip line at 1-800-244-TIPS.

USA Today reports it confirmed the death with Minaj’s representative. The rapper has yet to make any public comment about her father’s death.
She gave birth to her first child with husband Kenneth Petty in September.
The rapper is very private and has not released her baby boy’s name, although she did release a photo at the beginning of the year.
Minaj is Indian, but was born in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to New York to be raised by her grandma at age 5, according to Arogundade.
