Families mourn victims of Atlanta spa shooting

A fifth victim has been identified in the Atlanta spa shooting which left eight people dead, according to The Daily Beast, although police have not formally released her name and declined to comment for this story.

Randy Park,23, called his mom Hyun Jung Grant “one of my best friends and the strongest influence.” He described his mother as a single parent who raised both him and his only brother.

“Losing her has put a new lens on my eyes on the amount of hate that exists in our world. As much as I want to grieve and process the reality that she is gone, I have a younger brother to take care of and matters to resolve as a result of this tragedy,” he said on his Go Fund Me page.

The young Park says he must now find a new home and a way to support himself and his younger brother. He says he has no other family in the United States.

“Frankly, I have no time to grieve for long,” he continued. “I will need to figure out the living situation for my brother and I for the next few months, possibly year. As of now I have been advised to move out of my current home within the end of March to save money and find a new place to live. My biggest priority right now is to put my mother to rest and plan out the funeral but due to some legal complications, I am unable to obtain my mother’s body. I don’t think I’ll be able to figure out this whole situation along with legal matters if given 2 weeks to move out.”

So far he has raised nearly $500,000 on his Go Fund Me page. He told the Daily Beast that the reported explanation by suspect Randy Aaron Long that he went on the killing spree as a way to eliminate temptation for his “sex addiction” as “bull sh*t.”

Xiaojie Tan and her daughter were best friends. She died one day short of her 50th birthday, according to USA Today.

“She did everything for me and for the family. She provided everything. She worked every day, 12 hours a day, so that me and our family would have a better life,” Jami Webb said of her mother who was married to Michael Webb, 64.

The two along with Jami’s fiance’ stood outside Young’s Asian massage at a candlelight memorial to reflect.

“She was full of smiles and laughter. She was just a pleasure to be around,” Michael said to USA Today.

The two met in Southern China and somehow managed to fall in love, although neither could speak the other’s language.

The two moved to Florida in 2006 and Tan became naturalized and registered to vote in 2012. Although they were divorced, Michael speaks fondly of Tan.

“Even when we got divorced, she’d say that: ‘We family.’ Because that’s how she was.”

Delaina Ashley Yaun, 33, had two children including a 9-month-old daughter. She became married in August.

She was there at Young Massage Parlor on a date with her husband as customers.

A friend described Yaun to 11Live as an incredible mom who loved her family.

The other victims identified are Paul Andre Michels, 54, of Atlanta and  Daoyou Feng, 44.
