ABC News presented a live “20/20” primetime special on the aftermath of the Atlanta mass shooting and the increase in anti-Asian American hate crimes around the country Friday night.

Anchored by Nightline Co-anchor Juju Chang in Atlanta and Anchor David Muir and Correspondent Eva Pilgrim in New York, the special is now also available for streaming on Hulu.

Journalists from local ABC owned and operated stations participated- including WPVI-TV’s Nydia Han from Philadelphia, WABC’s Cefaan Kim from New York and KGO’s Dion Lim from San Francisco.

The program also looked into the racist stereotypes perpetuated in the media about Asian Americans, former President Trump’s use of racial rhetoric during COVID-19, and other factors that have contributed to the rise in Asian American hate crimes.

Murder in Atlanta, a special edition of 20/20 also featured reporting from correspondent Steve Osunsami.

It originally aired Friday night, March 19 on ABC.
