A public service announcement crafted to address the attacks on the Asian American community will air on major networks ABC, NBC, ESPN and TNT during high visibility hours.

The video was originally created in May 2020 by a campaign called #WashTheHate to bring awareness to the attacks on Asian Americans during the early days of the pandemic. It featured several prominent Asian Americans like Celia Au, actress (Wu Assassins, Nora From Queens), Andrew Chau, co-founder of Boba Guys and Alok V Menon, performance artist (Femme in Public).

The campaign announced in a press release that the PSA will be re-aired starting today, thanks to the help of funding from McDonald’s USA. It will run for the next two weeks.

According to the campaign’s website, their goal is “to promote solidarity across all communities as we battle a common enemy.”
