Netflix’s comedy series The Chair, starring Sandra Oh, will premiere on August 27, TV Line reports.
The series, produced by Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, centers around Professor Ji-Yoon Kim (Oh), the first woman of color to head up the English department at Pembroke University.
In a press release, Netflix included a fictional news-clipping that detailed Professor Kim’s hiring.
The series was created and co-written by Benioff’s wife actress Amanda Peet, according to Collider. Oh leads the show alongside co-stars Jay Duplass, Holland Taylor, Bob Balaban, Nana Mensah, David Morse and Everly Carganilla.
