Veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson took to Twitter to showcase his support for Asian Gold Ribbon and the AAPI community.

Jackson is a world-renowned actor with almost 200 credits on IMDb. He is most known for his roles as Jules in “Pulp Fiction” or Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Recently, he played Marcus banks in the movie “Spiral.”

“I stand with Asians,” Jackson wrote in his tweet. “Join me and @asiangoldribbon To fight against racism, hatred and violence against the Asian community.”

The Asian Gold Ribbon Campaign is a platform developed to initiate widespread visibility against anti-Asian hate.

May 20 marked Asian Gold Ribbon day where both Asian and Non-Asian allies are to wear certain facemasks, gold ribbons and pins to signify solidarity in the AAPI community. Although the date has passed, their website’s store still supplies them. Members posted to social media wearing these accessories while tagging @asiangoldribbon and using the hashtag #asiangoldribbon.

The Asian Gold Ribbon Website also acts as an outlet where users may read up on current AAPI racism statistics. The website also publishes articles relating to AAPI issues.

Lastly, Asian Gold Ribbon is currently almost one-third of the way of its $15,000 (CAD) goal. These funds support programs and services for Asian wellbeing. If you would like to make a donation, you can done so here.
