Fans appear excited at the upcoming season 2 of Never Have I Ever, the comedy loosely based on Mindy Kaling’s life.
In just 24 hours, the new trailer has generated more than 1.2 million views.
Star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan plays Devi, a teen girl still grieving from lost of her father while juggling two boyfriends. Life is good and Devi is on a high until a new girl enters a picture, another Indian American who happens to be more beautiful than her.
Mom as played by Poorna Jagannathan doesn’t like the way Devi is behaving, causing the usual friction between mom and teenager.
“My mom doesn’t tell me how I get to live my life,” she proclaims.
Ramona Young and Lee Rodriguez return as Devi’s good friends while Darren Barnet and Jaren Lewison serve as the male eye candies.
Season 2 begins streaming on Netflix July 15.
