The Korean American Spiderman spinoff Silk is being developed for Amazon Prime, reports Playlist.
Silk features alter-ego Cindy Moon, who like Peter Parker, is bitten by a spider and develops superhero powers.
According to Deadline, Â Tom Spezialy will serve as executive producer of the series as part of his deal with Amazon Studios, along with Lauren Moon.
Moon is also credited with writing the TV-adaptation of the comic book superhero.
Silk first appeared in 2014 in Marvel Comics’ The Amazing Spider-Man #1. She later got a five-issue limited series. Writer Maruene Goo and artist Takeshi Miyazawa were behind an on-going Silk series which debut in March of this year.
