Bystanders help Asian Am woman pushed to street

Police credit witnesses “that jumped in and helped save an Asian woman that was pushed into the street,” reports KRON4.

“You all protected her from further attack or being run over by a car,” Commander Raj Vaswani wrote in his tweet today.

SF Gate reports that police quickly tracked down the suspect and arrested Sierra Sterkin, 43, of San Francisco.

They also discovered he also had an outstanding warrant in an attack on two other people in the city’s Haight-Ashbury district.

In this latest incident, police accuse Sterkin of walking behind the 51-year old woman and pushing her into the street.

Doctors treated her for non-life threatening injuries.
