Police in New York arrested a suspect they say spit on an Asian woman and demanded that she speak English, reports the New York Daily News.
Authorities say Yvonne Yehudah walked up to the 26-year-old victim and spit on her after hearing her speak Mandarin to a friend.
Police made the arrest Friday in the incident that happened July 25, according to WPIX.
Yehudah faces a charge of aggravated harassment.
The Daily News reports the 31-year-old suspect has 14 prior arrests since 2007 for charges including robbery, assault and stalking.
