A 42-year-old man faces a charge of felony assault after allegedly getting angry over a missing egg roll from his order in Sacramento, CA.
Anthony Brewer, 42, is described as a regular customer of Happy Takeout Chinese restaurant.
Waitress Diana Dich told News 10 that Brewer threw a bag of food at her. When she followed him outside to take a photo of his car, she said he shoved her into the ground, causing numerous scrapes.
The Central Valley Chronicle reports the incident was caught on the restaurant’s security camera.
“Restaurants are easy targets for people to abuse because they assume that … you know they should serve, and that’s it,” Dich said.
Crystal Huyhn-Kim, organizer of Sacramento’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Coalition, urged people to report such incidents.
“Whatever reason that is, it is not OK to attack anybody for any reason,” Huynh-Kim said to News10. “I mean don’t bite the hand that feeds you, especially one that is serving the community.”
