FBI Ask for Help Identifying Man Wanted for Anti-Asian Hate Crime

FBI officials in Chicago are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect of an anti-Asian hate crime, ABC 7 Chicago reports.

On August 15, the suspect allegedly followed a 30-year-old Asian man into the Argyle station on the CTA’s Red Line, NBC Chicago reports. Officials say the suspect yelled an ethnic slur at the man and struck him from behind.

The FBI has released a wanted poster and asked for more details.

The man is described as having a thin goatee, a diamond stud in his right ear, jewelry on both wrists, a gold neck chain and a White Sox hat.
