Racist road rage: “#$@! % Chinese. I’m going to kill you.”

A Chinese American man is speaking out about a horrifying incident of road rage in New York caught on video by a dash cam.

The victim who asked ABC7 not to disclose his name can be heard pleading with a 911 operator as the perpetrators smashed his wind shield and the glass came dangerously close to shattering on top of him as he sat locked in his vehicle.

“Come, come. He’s hitting my windshield…help me, help me” the victim says to a police dispatcher. The fear and desperation in his voice is obvious.

The Chinese American man says he rear ended a black Honda on an expressway in the Bronx. The car pulled out as did another vehicle, a Mercedes minivan with no license plate. 10 people got out of the two vehicles.

“He yelled (expletive) Chinese. I’m going to kill you, two or three times,” the victim said. Suddenly they began pounding his windshield and other parts of his car.

He says they eventually got into his vehicle through the passenger door. He said he was punched and kicked repeatedly, the thick sole of the boots smashed into his face.

They left him bruised and sore in the neck, hip, eye, ear and chest.

Police have not classified this as a hate crime.

“If there’s no hate, why do you treat me like this?” he said exclusively to ABC7. “I’m not first generation of immigrants. I’m like second or third. I’m young, but I still get treated like this.”

No arrests have been made.
