Actor and doctor Ken Jeong debunked some myths about the COVID-19 vaccine during his Monday night appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Complex reports.
Recently, rapper Nicki Minaj tweeted that the vaccine had caused a friend of her cousin’s testicles to swell. Corden asked Jeong if there were any truth to her claims.
Jeong was a practicing internist for several years. His wife is still a practicing doctor. Jeong told Corden that both he and his wife can confirm that the vaccine does not “lead to a swelling of testicle,” The Hollywood Reporter reports.
“Don’t get medical advice from Nicki Minaj,” Jeong said.
“I do get a little cardiology advice from Cardi B because she’s a licensed cardiologist,” he jokingly added.

Jeong said he felt the medical community could have done a better job sharing information about COVID-19 and the delta variant.
“I think that there’s so much misinformation out there and not just by extremists,” he said, according toThe Hollywood Reporter. “There is just so much confusion. I just think we could’ve done a better job messaging just like, ‘This came unexpected. We were unprepared for this because prior to May and June we didn’t know the Delta variant would be the predominant strain globally.’”
